Death of a Neuron
Death of a Neuron is a visual extension of my research on neurodegenerative diseases. It’s a series of 12 paintings in a comic book format that illustrates the gradual breakdown of neurons and mitochondria caused by multiple sclerosis. Each piece combines scientific information with creative storytelling, using color, form, and short textual excerpts to depict the invisible cellular damage occurring within the nervous system.
